Important Camp Information

6^th Grade Camp Is Next Week

Here are a few reminders for you to review before camp.  The suggested equipment list for you to refer to is on the back of this sheet.

-In case of an emergency the phone number for Camp Pinewood is     (231) 821-2421.  Joanna Otis is the program director.

-Students will not be allowed to bring camp luggage and bedding on their school bus.

-Please make arrangements to have your child dropped off and picked up from school.

-Bring electronic devices at your own risk. Camp Pinewood or Sparta MS will not be responsible for lost or damaged items.
-Please do not send any food or snacks.

-Do not send any money with your child, as they won’t have a store open to sell any souvenirs.

-When packing medication, all meds must be in their original container and marked with the child’s name.  All medication should be given to Mrs. Kitson (Travelers), or Mrs. Owen (Explorers) when arriving at school Wednesday morning.  Please notify Mrs. Kitson or Mrs. Owen if your child has added any new medication since the medical form was completed.

-All personal items should be labeled with the student’s name.

-Drop off time for campers is between 7:45 and 8:15 am on Wednesday, November 9, 2011.  Please drop off student and their luggage by the cafeteria doors at the South end of the building.  Students are to report to their advisory teacher after dropping off luggage.  If students need to be dropped off sooner, have them bring luggage to their advisory teacher and the student will take it to the café at 8:00.

-Students will return to school on Friday, November 11, 2011. The busses will drop the students and luggage off at the back of the main parking lot (football lot) by 2:00 pm.  Leave the back of the lot, far East end, open for busses and for us to unload luggage.  Please be ready to take your child home or make other arrangements ahead of time.
